Site under Construction

Greetings! Thank you for your visit and your patience whilst we build this site - a little behind target due to family sickness.  However we have already started to offer walks at Cobleland Campsite in Gartmore, near Aberfoyle.

Nix in Nature was set up in 2013 and initially aims to offer affordable ranger walks & cycle rides for all ages and abilities, especially in a forest environment.  These will be led by myself, Nikki together with my partner Will.  We have been running such activities since 2008 and are based in The Trossachs Scotland, but we are open to working further afield!

We are initially starting with regular bat walks – Bats, Owls and Spooky Tales as from Easter 2013. Email us at or call us on 07745 048595.  You can view our blog or join our Facebook Group – Nix in Nature which will be regularly updated. Nikki’s Personal blog includes previous ranger work and a bit more about how it all began after leaving the rat race in 2006.

 “On a ranger activity you will find out some amazing facts about the forest, both old and new including; edible, medicinal and magical uses of plants and trees (and magic wands), local wildlife, the superstitions attached to them, and local folklore and history - including some spooky stories if you like!  Our aim is to inspire you with our enthusiasm and love of nature, to have fun and to help you to find or develop your own forest interests which will help to protect the great outdoors in the future”.

Just a few more things that you can look forward to soon;

  • Walks and cycle rides to include; bushcraft, magic and folklore, navigation and more.  Also moonwalks, seasonal and charity events.
  • Artwork –paintings, murals, mosaics and wood craft
  • Reiki Sessions
  • Ethical, conservation and green living information
